PROJECTS

'Keep Children in School' Scholarship

Although basic education is compulsory in the Philippines particularly in the remote rural areas, one of every three children drop-out of elementary school before 6th grade. Reasons are mostly economic. Families are often too poor to afford school supplies, nourishment before and after school and miscellaneous expenses related to education.

IIP's scholarship program aims to provide the necessary support for students, family and educators to keep children in school. Program offers tuition assistance, school supplies, books, nourishment, uniform and clothing.

Access to Healthcare

Many rural areas in the Philippines are hard-to-reach islands, otherwise known as geographically isolated disadvantaged areas (GIDA.) Hospitals and clinics lack basic infrastructure, medical supplies are limited and good health care provider is scarce.

To treat underserved patients with dramatic and often life saving surgeries and treatment, IIP routinely sponsors medical and surgical missions combined with the assistance of caring healthcare professionals from all over the world. During medical missions, surgeons perform approximately 150+ major/minor surgeries while simultaneously other team members would consult and treat 700 patients in a 7 to 10 day program.

Medical Projects are pre-arranged, organized and assisted by our local groups particularly by our partner Mabuhay Hilfe Zum Leben e.V. of Bugko Northern Samar.
